Vicki Cleary Day is a centrepiece of the anti-violence campaign and a springboard for new initiatives in the community to raise awareness and assist women in need.

This website will be a major resource in the anti-violence gender equity campaign. It will feature stories, videos, opinions, advice and podcasts about the violence stalking women. On the website we will hear directly from the families affected by the violence. We will hear about the pain and about where the system has failed women, and we’ll hear from survivors. We’ll document the failings in an honest and independent manner and add a new and critical voice to the anti-violence story.

 

The website will be curated and managed by Phil Cleary, whose research, writings and public commentary has done so much to change the public’s understanding of violence against women. Such is the quality and strength of Phil’s work, in 2022 he was named a Distinguished Alumni of La Trobe University.
